Facebook was started and is still run by Mark Zuckerburg. A common occurrence in regular Facebook and Facebook Ads is stuff getting removed from the platform.

In a nod to Mr. Zuckerburg’s surname, the colloquialism for something on Facebook getting deleted is “zucc’d”. For example, if a Facebook page mysteriously disappeared after suggesting that Mark Zuckerberg is a reptilian shape-shifter that used a booster seat when he testified before Congress, people would say “the page got zucc’d”.

The grounds for content removal become more nebulous with each passing second, and ads getting zucc’d is a familiar occurrence to anyone who has run Facebook ads in the past. This is especially pernicious if you’re trying to advertise for anything remotely related to employment, credit or housing.
